Overview

High School (Ages 16-19)

High School serves students aged 16 to 19 and is a time of profound personal and academic growth. This stage is supported by two key programmes: the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP), both of which prepare students for success at university and in their future careers.

The IBDP offers a rigorous and balanced education that covers a wide range of academic subjects. This program encourages students to develop a broad and deep knowledge base, critical thinking skills, and the ability to engage with complex problems. It also emphasises the importance of developing a global perspective and understanding cultural differences, preparing students to succeed in a diverse and interconnected world.

For students interested in combining academic studies with career-related learning, the IBCP is an ideal choice. This programme allows students to pursue their professional interests while still benefiting from a challenging IB education. The IBCP integrates rigorous academic coursework with practical, career-oriented studies, preparing students for entry into specific career paths or further education in specialised fields.

High School students are encouraged to take ownership of their education through self-directed learning and research, particularly through the Extended Essay in the IBDP and the Reflective Project in the IBCP. These components foster independence and self-management, crucial skills for success in university and beyond.

Community service continues to play a significant role, with students participating in various initiatives that strengthen their social responsibility and leadership skills.

We are committed to providing a supportive and enriching environment that guides each student through these critical years. For more information about our High School programmes or to discover how VIS prepares students for higher education and professional success, please feel free to contact us.
